Common problems

Why is my computer running slow?

There are many reasons why your computer is running slow.


Windows XP requires 256MB RAM just for the operating system to run smoothly. Installation of additional memory can help speed up your computer.


Your computer is possibly infected with malware/spyware. Some malware can be extremely stubborn and difficult to remove. Please contact us as your computer will need a total clean up.


A computer which is running slow may also be a sign of hardware failure, such as CPU overheating, failing hard drive or faulty memory modules.


Your hard drive may be running low on space.


Some well known antivirus programs have been known to cause a computer to run slowly. We recommend running Eset NOD32 antivirus.

Why can't I connect to the internet?

Before contacting us:

Shutdown computer/s. Power off the modem and router for approximately five minutes. Power up the modem and allow it to initialise and then power up the router. Contact your ISP to check the network.
